Rally in Cali: ¡Sí, Se Puede!

I just got back from an Obama rally up on Hollywood Boulevard. We marched outside and alongside the Kodak Theater, before, during, and after the Obama/Clinton showdown. Starting at 2:00 PM, the rally gathered around the filming of Wolf Blitzer and his commentators, hollering slogans and whatnot: much to CNN's security and personnel's dismay. Mayor Villaraigosa showed up; I couldn't hear a word he or Wolf were saying. Along the way I saw celebrities like Gary Shandling and Wayne Wilderson pass through, two guys which I admire. The crowd shifted a few hours later, as the debate was about to be shown on a full-screen outdoors. Beginning at 5:00 PM, the debate was non-stop, blisteringly-cold action (high 40°'s... shoulda brought my gloves... brrr) 'til around 8:00 PM. Packed to full capacity, I was told that the fire marshall was being called in. Two full blocks on Hollywood Boulevard were completely shut down, from the Knitting Factory on the west side, to El Capitan and beyond, (fully encompassing Jimmy Kimmel's building... haha!). Said to be the biggest audience in presidential debate history, the crowd was overwhelmingly pro-Obama, as evidenced by the photos below. I'd say something on the lines of a 5:1 ratio, minimum. It was a good day. Word to Cube.

We'll see what happens come Super Tuesday. This is Ivan Rott reporting to you live from Los Angeles. Back to you...
