Improv Everywhere Freezes Grand Central Station

Via The Sound of Young America

I'm proud to contribute to a site that covers politics and hip hop in equal measure, but I thought I might post something a little lighthearted to start the weekend off right. Improv Everywhere did something amazing last Saturday and they uploaded a video of it. For those not familiar, here's a little explanation from Wikipedia:

Improv Everywhere (abbreviated IE) is an unorthodox comedy group based in New York City, formed in 2001 by Charlie Todd. Its slogan is "We Cause Scenes," which the group lives up to by executing non-demeaning pranks in public places.

For their latest mission, they got over 200 of their Improv Everywhere Agents (volunteers and regular IE participants) to freeze at the exact same second for five straight minutes in the Main Concourse of Grand Central. Magical. Watch the video below:

There is a detailed account of the mission at the Improv Everywhere website. Their YouTube channel is here, but you can watch high-quality videos of the "missions" on their official website. Great stuff.
