Masta Ace Incorporated's SlaughtaHouse is one of the best hip hop albums you can listen to on a hot, sticky Saturday afternoon: "It's Saturday, it's Saturday, the heat might smother you!" I gave it yet another spin today. Love this album. A few months back, I spontaneously stumbled upon the first sample you hear on SlaughtaHouse, lifted from the Chinatown OST by composer Jerry Goldsmith. Since then, I planned on digging up all of the samples from the album. Well, here it is. Sample sets may be a thing of the past (or not; we'll see...), but Samplify is alive and well. (How are you liking the Life Is Good playlist?) Enjoy the music, and as always... turn it up!!
