The first time I saw Dom Kennedy was when he was being interviewed on KCAL9 in front of the Staples Center, dipped in purple and gold. I became a fan at that very moment. Enter 2011, where with little to no promotion, Dom Kennedy hits us with yet another one of his album-quality mixtapes. I like that. Rappers take notice. Don't leak half your shit over the course of two months, only to hit me with a release that's got a second half of tracks that ain't up to par. I wanna experience great music all at once, no "next track" button necessary. Props to Dom Kennedy for doing just that and turning today's Lakers-Heat game into city-wide block parties just waiting to happen. Turn it up!!
