The Lox - Trio (Best of 2010)

If you thought five hours of Officer Ricky was a lot, howsabout nearly eight hours of The Lox? That's right, D-Block. Mighty, mighty D-Block. I might just blast this one at my 9 to 5... from 9 to 5. *insert Jadakiss laugh* In the past year, these Yonkers representatives unleashed an evenly-distributed amount of work. Sheek Louch signed with Def Jam and released his first record with the label just yesterday (Donnie G: Don Gorilla). Styles P beat Jigga to the punch, releasing Invincible: A Novel, along with an accompanying soundtrack, a mixtape (The Ghost Dub-Dime Mixtape), and a collaborative album with DJ Green Lantern (The Green Ghost Project). Finally, Jadakiss' The Champ Is Here 3 proved to be one of the year's best mixtapes. And even though I've been holding my breath for a few years now, it seems like 2011 might be the year for a new Lox album. Finally. In the meantime, here's 136 not-so-jiggy tracks to hold you down. Cover art is based on Hank Mobley's 1957 album with Donald Byrd and Lee Morgan titled Sextet (hence my Trio title ... slideshow here). Enjoy... and turn it up!!
