The Miseducation of... [The Samples]

As soon as I dropped the set for Lyte's debut album, I knew I had to follow it up with a prerequisite: Ms. Hill's own solo debut record. You'll be drawn into this set straight from the get-go with the vibes of "Bam Bam", interpolated flawlessly on the classic "Lost Ones". And you can tell that Lady Hill is something of a Wu-fan with the inclusion of some samples on both "Ex-Factor" and the loops of "I Used to Love Him". Fans of "Doo Wop (That Thing)" won't be disappointed because we've got a brief-but-important cut from The 5th Dimension that just might blow your mind. But my favorite sample from this set has got to be the rootsy vibes off of Jose Feliciano's "And the Feeling's Good" used on Hill's poignant "To Zion". That acoustic sample is something else... Anyways, I hope you enjoy this set as much as I did putting it together for you. Don't forget to... turn it up!!
