The Tape Deck: Volume #1 (Reviews)

Simple and plain, here we've got some of the best tracks from the weekend to throw into your playlist:

Kanye West - Love Lockdown [zShare link]
Y'all already know how I feel about this track. Nonetheless, it's catchy as f*ck and I know that many of you would be shocked if I didn't include it in The Tape Deck. So here it is! Don't say I didn't warn you. Matter fact: "Don't act like I never told ya!"
Jin & Kanye West - Love Lockdown (Unofficial Remix) [zShare link]
Whether he's dissing Rosie O'Donnell or big-upping Obama, Jin always keep me laughing. He's back at it with his take on Kanye's 'Love Lockdown' as he quips: "I couldn't locate the instrumental/ It's all good, I just looped the intro/".
J.Rocwell - Keri Hilson Tribute [zShare link]
Here we've got a funny new track from Jersey emcee J.Rocwell. J goes after his desire, the lovely Keri Hilson. All the power to ya bro! Who's next on J's list? After seeing that hot new photoshoot, I'd go for Ciara. ;-D
Keri Hilson - Turn Off (featuring Lil Wayne) [zShare link]
Decent track, nothing special. As usual though, Weezy kicks some crazy lines: "My fingers can turn you on like a television/ Turn it to The Weather Channel 'cause I make it rain, girl/".
Usher - Still Me [zShare link]
Not feelin' this one (or anything Usher's been putting out lately, for that matter). Moderately catchy, but nothing more than that...
Devin the Dude - Can't Make It Home [zShare link]
The Dude knows how to tell a tale! Not sure who's singin' the hook, but Devin lays down some smooth vocals over these laid-back keys and drums. Recommended.
Jadakiss - Who Run This (featuring Jay-Z) [zShare link]
This could have been an amazing track. Instead, Jay chose to play hypeman rather than emcee, hollering (hollaing?) throughout the track "Let's Go", "Whoo", "We want our spot back", "Still the home of the spitters" & "Jada, talk to 'em". Methinks Jigga needs to stop hangin' out with Diddy.
Scarface - Forgot About Me (featuring Lil Wayne & Bun B) [zShare link]
Southern heavyweights in the building!! The three kings give off a solid effort on this track! It's just great to hear them all on one song, ain't it?
Lil Wayne - Front Door, Living Room Floor (featuring Nutt Da Kidd) [zShare link]
Nutt Da Kidd? Sounds like something you might hear R. Kelly say... or do. This track's weak sauce. *nhjic*
Cam'ron - Bottom of the Pussy Hole [zShare link]
Cam emerges out of obscurity with an explicit romp, exploring the outer (and inner) reaches of a woman's body. Leave it to Cam to go p_i_n_k. ;-P

  4. thanks Ivan =D
when i first heard love lockdown I was like :| here we go, then after the line "I thought no one knew I got no one new" i flipped on it, been bumping it the last 3 days.

At the start I was like sigh, ye be on some voice coder whack ass pop shit and he's failing hip-hop, then the artists in me realized after all his been through (lose of mother and fiance, the mans lost the two most prominent women in his life) that he is exploring different paths as an artists.

There more music than hip-hop, look at commons new joint, it's a little 'whack' but there are some killer lines and the whole biggy style is awesome. Then everyone goes ape saying his 'sold out' fuck that and fuck people with stagnate mindsets

//end random rant,(I think the elec lab I'm doing set me of :/ )
