For a little while now, I've been meaning to update our sample set to Kanye's Graduation album, previously posted HERE. A few tracks came around (notably the infamous 'Flashing Lights' sample that was mentioned in our comment section after floating around the web) and I promised myself I'd get around to doing it! The good folks at Kevin Nottingham (Kev' and Thomas) posted up a revised version of the Graduation sample set just yesterday, re-reminding me to get to business. They posted up a couple of tracks I had no clue of (a song by Prince and a seemingly obscure reggae track which was used for 'Good Night'). But believe it or not, I've got even more tracks to add on to that list (like that Jeezy track which I can't believe I missed on our first go-around)! Included in Kev' and Thomas' set was a bonus Public Enemy acapella; I've also included the acapella for Jay-Z's 'Ruler's Back' for good measure...
Anyways, here's the current playlist/tracklisting:

Wow! Thank you for completing these samples!

No clue about the pac song. I don't know how anyone missed the Jeezy song...right in the our face.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think the Jeezy track was so "in our face" it was forgot about. The Pac sample? Drums maybe? I probably wouldn't have included the Bring The Noise Instr. only because it was the vocals that were samples.
ReplyDeleteMaybe one more sample could make this more complete... the Tom Yorke sample for "Us Placers". Wasn't that given away as a bonus track on iTunes?
thank you ivan
ReplyDeleteanyone ever follow up on the other supposed flashing lights sample stated in the first sets' comments?
'Flashing Lights is sampled from Japanese documentary film about Mongolian Empire.'
I've heard NOTHING about that Mongolian flick...
ReplyDeleteAnyways, the set is complete now... I've included the Isley Brothers track said to be used for 'Big Brother' as well as the vocals to Jay's 'Ruler's Back'
Enjoy y'all!
HHIR's grafx game is on another level entirely. Loving the presentation...
