seriously, though, from a candidate's perspective, it's gotta be a damn perfect storm right now ...
it used to be that they'd be able to say something, have some time, listen to the press, have some time, and then be expected to respond in some manner ......... but now with this Instant Feedback Machine™ that we call the internet, there's no time in between - they say something, and someone somewhere has something to say about that, and they then have to scramble to try and right whatever wrongs might have been done.
it's gotta be intense... at least, I hope it's intense, because it doesn't seem to me that the mass media is doing their due diligence (took me a few re-types not to spell that "dillagence", heh) in poking holes in candidates where they certainly deserve to have holes poked.
