HHIR's Complain't Department Pt. 2: 'Unknowns and Pop Superstars'

hmmm: I appreciate the criticism. We have in fact dedicated a few posts of Dizee Rascal, dropped Aesop Rock's 'None Shall Pass' album for free download, mentioned Lyrics Born's new album as a best-of-the-month/heavy rotation record AND included one of his songs on our first HHIH feature/download, and we've included Gift of Gab in my first collection of self-made 2Pac remixes titled 'Young Heart, Old Soul' (also for free download). Buck 65 ain't really my cup of tea, and Lateef is on his way one of these days, I'm sure.

I appreciate your suggestions, but it's not like I'm not trying; and a little recognition (as tiny as possible) goes a long way as opposed to just bashing our work.

- I

P.S. If you can convince major labels such as W@rner Br0thers to stop deleting my links and/or threatening to shut down my blog after I post their singles, then we may just see the return of our Singles posts.

P.P.S. To all the HHIR-ers out there: Come up with a list of featured HHIR emcees who AREN'T unknown or "pop superstars" and post their names in the comment section to prove this guy wrong...

That AC cat isn't an unknown on the NY scene, and that exclusive freestyle was nice. You post Chuck D shit all the time, and that stuff is prtty cool. Buckwild, Premo, Large Pro/Sermon/Pete Rock... You've dropped all that shit in just the past month. Tha fuck is this hmmm guy talkin about???

  5. Fuck "hmmm" and his opinion. The vocal minority is sometimes left ignored.

  7. goodlookin' on understanding my thoughts and addressing them ivan ;)

lol too bad some of your following is to immature to really appreciate an opinion ;P

lol at "putting homie in his place"

you'd have to be a certified idiot to not just take the opinion and respond like a normal human being...

i look forward to the geeked up nature of the cult forming and the true essence that your soul brings to the world of hip hop blogging ivan

  11. I'd prefer to hurt major label sales than to hurt indie labels sales... I do, however, include indie emcees on mixtapes and muxtapes...

What the hell... I'll drop something soon. If I get any complaints then..... ;/
