Lalo Schifrin - Bullitt
(1968)
Blaxploitation's description:
One of the few funk soundtrack albums where the film wasas good as the music. Steve McQueen on top form - Lalo Schifrin on top form too. A superb album, with a heavy beats jazz sound. The rhythms are uniquely Schifrin, a perfect blend of funk, pop and jazz. The main theme is a classic with its strong, driving bassline. The rest of the album is as consistent.

...Blaxploitation Soundtracks...

Nice. Never listened to the soundtrack by itself, but was constantly reminded of Bullitt watching the Barrett Jackson Auction this afternoon. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYeah thanks a lot Ivan, these soundtracks keep me working through Sunday.
