Aight, well it's a little after 3 AM and I'm still up, preparing for a statistics midterm I've got mañana. I mean today.
Boy, am I unprepared.
I felt like taking a quick break though, and being the insomniatic procrastinator I am, I hopped over to my favorite Hip-Hop board (ahem, which shall remain nameless) to kill some time.
I came across a remix to 'State of Clarity', one of '07's greatest songs from the fourth Jazzmatazz album released earlier this year. I was pleased to find out it was produced by the overlooked Solar. I was even more pleased to find out that it features the same sample (ahhhhhh does anyone actually know the sample?!?!?...I've been diggin' forever, to no avail) as J Dilla's 'Love Jones', one of my all-time favorite beats from King James (I've even got it as one of my ringtones).
Anyways, 'State of Clairty (Solar Remix)' is just one of those songs that sticks. Give it a listen, lemme know what you think:
