Hip-Hop Insomniacs Club with Tupac Shakur & Ice Cube

'Trapped' by 2pac/Tupac Shakur [Lyrics]

"One day I'm gonna bust/ Blow up on this society/
Why did ya lie to me? I couldn't find a trace of equality/"

The initial reason for posting this clip was to showcase one of 'Pac's (being that September is officially 'Pac Month' around here...lol) finest videos/songs ever, depicting police brutality, racial profiling and all that goes with it. But in case you haven't heard, a new debate taking place in the Senate concerning lethal injections has hit the political and philosophical scene. Without getting into my own personal opinions on capital punishment, the recent talks have been sparked by the argument that lethal injections, thought by many to be the most "humane" way of killing a person, is in fact a slow and excruciatingly painful death.
Lethal injection is currently implemented in 38 states.

For more information, check out this recent BBC article on the topic.

If you'd like to sign a petition (pointless? perhaps... but IMO still worth the 25 seconds it takes to put your name down) to ban lethal injection and pancuronium bromide, head on over here; you know what to do.

Now enjoy part 2 of tonight's this morning's Insomniacs post:
