Conventional Wisdom (Aug. 13th - 19th)

50 Cent:
...Fiddy finna go Britney on us. This week he made his ballistic tirade look like a breeze: Direct shots at Kanye West, a 'Lil Wayne diss track, an Irv Gotti shot (but we expect that by now) & sh*t-talking Jigga and Diddy. Oh, forgot to mention the cherry on top to wrap things up... Here's what he had to say about Jimmy Iovine: "f*ck Jimmy Iovine"...sounds pretty direct... Oh, and Kanye seems to be leading in the polls... Looks like this might be Fiddy's last album...

Foxy Brown:
...a complete turn-around from this recent eye-popping (mhmmm...) video, F. Boogie takes the Koch route. Seems like we'll never get the long-long-long-anticipated (for me at least) album Black Roses. Oh, and she was charged with (yet another) felony. Damn, girl...

Interscope Records:
...first they drop Rakim due to "creative differences." Well it seems like Raekwon is the latest on the list of GOOD EMCEES(!!!!!!) to face getting bossed around by the man in the desk. Hopefully, Raekwon sweats it out and either makes them drop the album us Wu-heads want to hear, or shops the album around to GOOD LABELS (!!!!!!) such as Nature Sounds (MK's home) to drop it. Either way, JUST F**KING BRING IT ALREADY!

UGK:
...OverGround Kingz? Pimp C and Bun-Beata hit the top of the charts.

The Wu-Tang Clan & Dhani Harrison:
...anticipation for 8 Diagrams continues to grow, as the Clan recently announced their latest bombshell. They'll be semi-covering the Beatles' classic "While My Guitar Gently Weep", written by the late George Harrison, alongside his son (and fellow August 1st b-day boy) Dhani Harrison, an apparent Wu-head.
