"I must admit that in my effort to make an album about revolution and revolutionaries, I've been forced to think about what that word really means. I had to find the inadequacies that existed within myself that have [to a point] prevented me from becoming that ultimate fighter for my community. Rhymefest (El Che), had to admit to himself some hard truths that most people wouldn't dare touch. GET READY! My ego and lack of discipline made me self-righteous, a pessimist, a womanizer, and, at times, a flat-out hypocrite. We love to criticize gangsters, pimps, rappers and the over all "ghetto mentality"; however, I've come to appreciate the fact that, even in their ignorance, there exists a strong sincerity that if those of us who know better could possess and act upon, the world would be changed in a day. Satan only has two weapons that he has been using since the beginning of man to divide us from God and conquer our spirits; LUST and ANGER. True revolution is not about just grabbing a gun & killing the enemy or spreading our seed through every woman we find attractive. If you want to truly be a revolutionary, it starts with love; love for yourself, your family and your community. Nothing can be fought and beaten without the existence of love. A true revolutionary in today's world is a faithful husband, a good parent, a honest business person. A revolutionary is sincere and genuine. I had to learn that the hard way. I am now faithful to the woman I love. I pledge to be straightforward and honest with you about my intentions and abilities. I will not betray myself nor my people.
