Dr. Cornel West: The Hip-Hop Philosopher

^ Grandmaster West... ;-D

You may recall that I posted a copy of Talib Kweli and Dr. Cornel West's "Bushonomics" a while back. The song comes from Never Forget: A Journey of Revelations, Dr. West's latest project which fuses hip-hop's sound and culture with philosophy and political discourse, including topics such as racism, poverty, war and the human condition.

This album is without a doubt worth checking out. It's an enjoyable, full-length record (nearly 80 minutes long), that will hopefully open your mind and inspire you. Don't believe me? Just check out a couple of the album's tracks below:

Still Here (featuring Ambassador & Paul Woodruff)

Dear Mr. Man (featuring Prince)
