Redman - Red Gone Wild... Thee Album [Thee Samples]

Revisiting some of my favorite albums from last year, I came across this joint by one of my favorite emcees of all time... Redman! Certainly not his greatest album (not be a long shot), 'Red Gone Wild...' was nonetheless a fun (you know Redman...) selection of tracks to kick back and bop your head to during an otherwise boring '07. It had some great tracks and above all, some phenomenal production featuring Pete Rock, Erick Sermon, Rockwilder and others. Here are the samples that these beatsmiths gathered to form 'Red Gone Wild...Thee Album'... For a compilation that starts with Marvin Gaye and ends with Curtis Mayfield, you'd assume this was a strictly funky/smooth playlist. Wrong! This one's got nearly ever sample-able genre in existence from R&B/soul and funk, 80's glam-pop, reggae, pre-existing hip hop, rock to even a ragtime melody from the 1900's (the decade in specific, not the century). An eclectic mix, no doubt! Enjoy!
