Thoughts on the Cleveland Cavaliers' Epic Fail

Like I said on Twitter, the Celtics and Lakers are like Aliens and Predators. And the Cavs are the humans getting in the way between the two. A message to Bron Bron: Move, bitch, get out the way. I know David Stern probably wanted this Kobe/LeBron matchup to manifest into something real -- and I'm also sure that David Stern is probably writing his suicide note at the moment -- but if you ask me it's all about seeing the green machine go toe to toe with purple and gold. Fuck LeBron. Add that to the fact that I don't think Laker fans have the heart in 'em to see Shaq take punishment from his former team in a finals matchup. It just wouldn't be right. A rematch against the Celtics (or Magic) though? Perfect.

To be sure, LeBron James is a talented basketball player. But I know Kobe Bryant. And you, LeBron James, are no Kobe Bryant. Kobe's an assassin. After watching Bron Bron in these past two games, I'm convinced that he's a masochist, or at the bare minimum an underachiever. Where's the heart? Where's the passion for the game? At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Knicks fans like Spike Lee were saying "You know what? You can keep him."

LeBron actually played better tonight. In fact he almost earned a quadruple double -- if only he'd had just ONE more turnover! I'm sounding like a hater now, aren't I? Well Cavs fans should feel what I feel. They got let down. And did you notice how quickly LeBron took off his jersey at the end of the game while he was walking down the tunnel? If that ain't a nod to potential offseason moves then I don't know what is. MVP - Most Valuable Princess. Like that, Bron Bron? © Pusha T

Long live the king! King Kobe that is... Back 2 Back, bitches...

  1. You make some good points, but Nash wants it more than Kobe does at this point.

  2. Lebron will get his time

  3. Lebron is 25 and still has room to grow. You think Kobe was a ''superstar'' out the gate and I guess you forgot his early air balls in the beginning of his career.

  4. Kobe made all those air balls in the first three seasons. After that, he won for the next three years. Three chips in six years. Not too shabby.

LeBron has just completed his sixth season. By now Kobe already had three rings. How many does Bron Bron have? Hmm? Exactly.

Looking at Kobe and LeBron at comparative points in their careers (six seasons), it's safe to say that both of these athletes were HYPED. But only one of them gave you a REASON to BELIEVE the hype... Say it with me now: K. O. B. E.

Good night and good luck (next season).

  5. I guess you forgot when Kobe won a title he had Shaq and a squad to support him. Lets use examples such as Kg taking over 7yrs to win his first title and he got hyped. Jordan took over 5yrs to win a title and he got a huge hype. Getting hype is all part of the game of basketball and you are bias of course because you are a laker fan and you hate the kobe and Lebron comparisons.I am not a cavs fan just for your info.

  6. Kobe is merely a great player. Michael Jordan was the king.

  7. that's what happens when u underestimate the celtics!! These our the playoffs. anyone can win. Stern is ok because he still has the Celtics/Lakers plus marquee players like Howard and Nash still in it.

  9. Kobe did exactly that two years ago when they lost in the Finals to Boston and everyone was saying that michael jordan wouldn't have let his team lose, which was true.Lets add Kobe had two years of failure to the suns before he finally got his time to shine again and gain respect. I expect the Lakers to win another title, but Lebron will be fine.

  15. ahhh, the short memory Kobe and Laker fans have... Shaq's rings were his. He was the most dominant center we've ever seen. Not the most skillful, but think Dwight Howard with asshole tendency and about 40 more lbs. Even he needed a supporting cast, and Kobe, Horry, DFish, and others provided that. Let's not forget that.

LBJ/Kobe comparisons can't come close. LBJ has smashed every "youngest to" records out there. Kevin Durant is next, but no one's paying attention. They soon will.

Kobe is a great player, no ones denying that. But Stern was taking ratings hits last decade and needed a boost, he was losing money. Like any business man, he "gave" the Laker a 7 foot perennial allstar, and Boston (who was on their death bed, coach out the door, and GM close to fired) Ray Allen and KG. Here's two future HOF'ers for ya! And there you have it... a manufactured "rivalry." At least the previous ones were built up, not given through free agency... but hey, it's entertainment anyway...
