Pete Rock & CL Smooth's debut full-length LP, Mecca and the Soul Brother, was released just under eighteen years ago. The album is often considered a classic and the duo's best release to date (read: ever). Mr. Chop has brought CL Smooth back -- literally, with re-recorded vocals -- to resurrect two of the album's top tracks, dropping Chocolate Boy Wonda reinterpretations of "They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)" and "Straighten It Out" on 7" vinyl. WHEN THE second album came out i didn't really think it was a classic like the first but after years have passed and listening to it again and again it is just as good as the 1st imo ;)
