Damn. RIP. There was a really, really great in depth article on him and his "HI" recording studio, in an issue of Wax Poetics you guys should check. This guy was great. A lot of people tried but nobody could duplicate that sound he got in that studio.

Oh man I only just recently even found out about the brilliance of Willie Mitchell through this blog and RZA's sample set.
