D.I.T.C. with Mayer Hawthorne

"Mayer Hawthorne in San Francisco at Groove Merchant"

  1. The Groove Merchant is a pretty kool record store, relatively small, but records are stacked to the ceiling. You'd have t spend a whole day there to get through it all. Unfortunately, this store as many record stores is not that inviting. Here was my experience. They opened an hour and a half late, the only employee there was a condescending hipster who wasn't that kool or ironic, so fail at the hipster role. I did find a some good stuff, but most the records there are pretty damn expensive, especially if it's a well known break or sample record. However they do have a few large stacks of $1 records. All the employee there did was use unnecessary amounts of profanity while talking to his friend, like high school status profanity usage. Record store employees every where, keep your personal BS to yourself, quit putting your life on blast and adding fuck to every sentence. Anyways, its a really kool store, but the people and prices there make me never want to go back. Out here in the Bay there's a lot of digging spots, so you're not stuck waiting on the hipster douche bag to ring you up on a $15 copy of Bob James Two

  3. getting addicted to crate digging is definitely as bad for you as smoking, after I dig for a day I feel like I have a pound of dust in my eyes and lungs!
