  1. Not as good as I wished it'd be, but it's still better than 95% of everything else.

  2. i gave that gorilla bear or grizly bear shit whatever you call it a chance, but those dudes sound EXACTLY like some stupid fools from the 70s, like the band AMERICA. "oz never did nothing for the tin man ... that he didnt. didnt already have." And once i realized that I had to give AMERICA a little respect because at least they had hits. I listened to that Gorilla Bear album twice and i can't tell you one fucking lyric.

  3. Dope!!!
Dr. No's Ethiopium has been in the DL que, props on Muse (it's different from there older studd, but I like it, how out of place is 03-Undisclosed Desires, dance RnB ish)

I've been playing OB4CL2 again, man that shit is straight crack.

Cudi album had some tracks, but didn't really do it for me.

Brother Ali did well with his latest album, if i listen to it anymore I'm gonna feel guilty as fuck if i don't cop it

  4. That Skyzoo CD was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't impressed by 3 Day High but I wrote about my thoughts on Salvation here http://holdthethrone.com/2009/09/30/cop-today-skyzoo-the-salvation/ .. The production is fire and Sky's lyrics are captivating. Good shit.

Also getting heavy rotation round these parts are Esoteric, Brother Ali (top 5 album of the year IMO), B&K MJ tribute, and of course Rae still.

How is that Grizzly Bear album?

  5. Shit I've Been Listening to...none of the above.

Although to be fair this blog has got me hooked on listening to all the samples used for hip hop tracks. ^_^

  9. After listening for the samples Drake used, I downloaded Lykke Li - Youth Novel. Not my usual type of thing but some nice tracks on there. Worth a listen, even though its not new.

Cudi - Hit and miss. Some decent songs, some bizarre/boring.

Raekwon - Not hooked by it. Can see the appeal, consistent production etc. But not my thing I guess.
