On New Years Day, 22-year old Oscar Grant was shot to death by a BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) officer. Grant was unarmed, handcuffed, and laying down on the floor when the officer shot him in the back. This was all caught on camera by an onlooker, and the video has begun to circulate across the web. Are you as outraged as I am?

How does that happen? Seriously WTF!
ReplyDeleteYeah man, it's wack. The next day I was about to ride BART and my mom gave me the usual "be careful" and I was like "yeah, I hope I don't get shot by the cops."
ReplyDeleteI realize that by and large police do that right thing in "most" situations but there has to be some accountability here. These are the types of things that perpetuate and broaden the rift between younger generations and authority. How can they expect us to adhere to these laws if they are not held equally accountable?
ReplyDeleteJesus H what the fuck is wrong with people.
ReplyDeleteThis is outrageous! Why didn't this story break across the nation yet?
ReplyDeleteThey claim he thought it was his taser.
ReplyDeleteyea right.
Hope this is cleared up before Obama goes into office. cause when we riot, they might just take the nomination back.
forget about trying to get 25 mil, how about trying to get his ass locked up?
ReplyDeleteWhat I keep hearing is that bart police is also trying to cover up that a black female officer was assaulted by a white male co-worker while on duty. Does anyone know the name of that officer? If so, someone needs to bring her on the for-front. We might find out some more shit about these murders! Rest in peace Oscar Grant and may God bless your family.
ReplyDeleteThey need to fire that damn Bart police chief now! Lock that murderer up and expose that police department and get rid of them all.
My condolences go out to the family of the victim. May God continue to bless and keep you in these difficult times. These so called bart officials are clearly trying to cover this blatantly vicious murder up. They need to get rid of that officer and that Chief. The attempted cover up is a crime in itself. Then people are saying that they've assaulted a black female officer that worked for their department and their trying to cover it up. Who is she?
ReplyDeleteI'm saddened and outraged this would happen to ANYONE regardless of race. As an African American it's harder to look at it without getting into a blood thirsty rage because it's so similar to what has happened in NY City and those officers got off And while I'm not God and can't judge that officer I just don't see how anyone can justify what I just saw.
ReplyDeleteAs a God fearing Christian His Word says "vengeance is His" and I know that violence on our part doesn't change what happen or make it better. I pray peace and comfort for the victims family and yes I pray for the officers involved as well because their families are about to go through a very rough time, and while it's easy to say you don't care, that officers son/daughter/wife/mother/father/brother/aunt/uncle didn't do it but they will be suffering as if they did.
