All I can say is WOW; I love how your site gets into the political realm and is not limited to a lot of the ignorance that is associated with hip hop these days!
ivan and the rest of the hhir crew are holding it down. but good hip-hop can't deny politics because it's what's going on. the ignorance and materialism associated with hip-hop isn't hip-hop that's advertisement for bureaucrats/capitalists. whatever is going on with you, me, and everyone is hip-hop as mighty mos so eloquently put it.
Hip-Hop is just as responsible as the advertisers/capitalists...They still have the freedom to make the music they do, and are willing to make society a worse place in order to gain a little more money.
Remember when Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Run D.M.C. and Eric B and Rakim were in charge? Now the next generation has Lil' Wayne, Flo Rida, Webbie, and Soulja Boy.
It's more than just money because the soul is lost. Once soulful hip-hop returns, then we can start looking for blame elsewhere.
