Observe the up-close image from 50 Cent's 2009 album Before I Self Destruct in stark contrast with the cover for his 2005 album The Massacre. Notice the disparity in record sales. Notice that despite Get Rich or Die Tryin' being the superior album, nonetheless it was outsold by the sophomore release The Massacre. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I ask that you consider a correlation between record sales and album artwork: specifically, a correlation between record sales and 50 Cent's distance on the album artwork.
