The first compilation in my Best of 2010 series features Brick City's finest, Reggie "Redman" Noble. The cover art for this mix was inspired by jazz pianist Freddie Redd's 1960 album Shades of Redd, released on the Blue Note label. Click here for a neat little slideshow highlighting the cover similarities. I picked Redman as a Best of 2010 emcee because he's one of if not the most consistent emcees in the game and he hustled this year with a rookie-like hunger - despite the fact that his label doesn't give a shit about its veteran artists. Reggie hits stores this Tuesday, December 7th, and I'm suuuuuuure you would've known about that if it wasn't for websites like OnSmash... *insert Kanye shrug* Cop the album and make sure to also download Red's promotional mixtape, Pancakes & Syrup. But don't forget to pick up this one too! Enjoy... and turn it up!!
