Can you identify the film that's sampled in the intro of Above the Law's "One Time Two Meny"? It's definitely not Against the Wall or Mississippi Burning - two films that are sampled on other Uncle Sam's Curse tracks. Thanks for your help. :)
i thought it might be Clockers but that was released in 95, Uncle Sam's Curse is form 94, plus i just watched the ending & Keith David beat Mekhi up, he didn't choke him.
Did anyone check Bad Leiutenant? I'm pretty fuckin sure that's Harvey Keitel, and that's the only movie besides Clockers that I can think of where he plays a racist cop, and as stated above, it's obviously not Clockers.
I don't think it's Bad Lieutenant, although the one cop does sound a lot like Harvey Keitel so it could be. This might be an insane suggestion, but maybe it would be possible to track down KMG or Cold 187um or someone from ATL's email and ask? I dunno, with computers and the intraweb and stuff it might be possible.
The movie is called "Against The Wall" about The African Liberation Movement in Attica State Penitentiary in 1971...
ReplyDeleteNope. I watched the movie yesterday. I wish you would've read what I wrote directly under the video...
ReplyDeleteit's bad leiutenant isnt it? that's harvey keitel isnt it?
ReplyDeletesounds a little like harvey keitel or dan hedaya (so maybe hill st blues?). pure guess.

ReplyDeleteWord? I don't mind watching a Dennis Hopper-produced Sean Penn/Robert Duvall/Don Cheadle film to find out. Thanks! (I hope you're right!)
ReplyDeleteits not colors... ive seen that movie plenty of times.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't think it was Colors, just based on the fact that the slang sounds more '70s than '80s.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's not Colors (just watched it). FUCK! I need to knoooooooow!
ReplyDelete....Robert Duvall/Sean Penn combo was great though.
