  1. Good job on the video. I agree with you that most of them calls were bogus but it wasn't all that one sided. Your team still shot 15 more free throws. The Celts had two beautiful blocks called fouls. Bottom line...the refs in the NBA are a disgrace.

  2. You must be smokin' something because that was hands down a blowout if the lakers hadn't gone to the line 41 times. Read that again. 41 times. As the cat above me said, the lakers went to the line 15 more times than the celts with about 8-10 of the last celtics freethrows coming in the final 1-2 minutes when the lakers were fouling intentionally. This game was offensive to watch and ray allen just lit the lakers up. I'm sorry but to complain as A LAKERS FAN about the calls in this game is retarded.

  3. Couldn't have said that better myself. Every single big man on the celtics had 4+ fouls and you say the Lake show was gettin screwed on calls. You telling me the Lakers play perfect defense. That's garbage.

  4. Just because the Lakers went to the line more times DOESN'T NEGATE these blown calls I've shown in the video...

  5. Yeah...why not include the missed calls going the other way and the phantom fouls Kobe has received in this game and throughout the entire playoffs?

  6. Because YouTube videos can only be 10 minutes long. But just so you know, even though I'm a Lakers fan, I DID keep track of those calls too. There definitely were a couple of BS calls against the Celtics.

But after it all, the officiating was overwhelmingly lopsided, in favor of the Celtics. This is undeniable. Keep in mind I watched the game a second time to make this video. And there were a few more calls I couldn't fit into this just-under 10 minute video.

  7. Wow. That video was horrible. Where Kobe traveled and you said there was only two steps. HE PICKED UP HIS PIVOT FOOT! Obviously you dont play hoop or you are just that biased. I love how all Laker's fans think they got screwed when their team loses. You always get the calls. Ask the Sacramento Kings from 2002.

  9. Lakers were called for 29 fouls. Celtics were called for 29 fouls. So it's all equal. Lakers have gotten way more calls the past two games then the Celtics have and yes it's very typical to see a fan cry when there team loses and not take responsibility for it. just shows the character of that person

  12. ^^^
next time make sure you check your spelling...

even my friend who is a celtic fan said that "they got lucky for the bogus calls, because without them, the lakers probably would have gotten game 2."

it's also funny how there was no discussion on these calls in the media, not even in l.a. "home of the lakers."

  13. I'm not trying to say that Kobe didn't get some awful calls made against him in game 2. He did. Luckily for LA he was also not making his circus shots like he did the last two rounds of the playoffs.

I'm just saying the officiating was horrible both ways. I hate the Lakers, but I'd say they got the slightly worse of the egregiously bad calls. In Game 1 the Celtics got the short end of the refereeing stick. But unfortunately for LA they couldn't make up for it because Bynum and Gasol were the only two to really show up.

  14. Andy: No discussion of the officiating? Do you go to goodhouskeeping.com for your sports news? It's all over the place!

The Lakers didn't need more help from the referees. They needed "Mamba" to give up on the circus shots when they're not going in for him and get Gasol and Bynum touches in the post in the 4th quarter.

  18. I got a question. If LA Lakers win, are they gonna cause a riot and start looting again?

    Never understood that.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Well its LA, so yes because they got to keep that hood image and expect many illegals to get rounded up.

  20. Ivan: When you guys do the looting thing, can you drop by Foot Locker and grab me some sneakers?

    I'll pay for shipping.

  21. who cares. the nba is so hard to watch anyway. the officials are crooked and the players are babies.

  22. Ivan, you are a genius. You spelled it out. Also, I really like the referee shouts at the end. Classic.

  23. "Everybody's got to make a living" - it went perfectly with it, right?

Thanks for your kind words as always Jackie!

  24. If the Lakers get robbed it would be just desserts for the botched '02 calls. But honestly the refs aren't placing one team above the other, they're just making bad calls. There have been terrible calls all throughout the game for both sides.

  25. Gasol has drawn enough bogus fouls to make up for any amount of "unfairness" against the Lakers

  26. being a lakers fan is like being a yankees fan, which is like being a fan of the 'house' at a casino. way to go with some real underdogs.

  27. lmao @ all the pathetic Lakers fans crying about the refs when the league ended up handing them at least 3 games based on bad officiating. Especially that game 7. This series will forever go down in infamy as the series that the NBA had fixed from game one. Donaghy said publicly a number of times that he knew the league had a hand in the outcome of this series and you'd have to be an idiot to not notice the way the league fixed those games. Officiating was pathetic on both sides and would go back and forth depending on which team they wanted to win a specific game. Nice job by David Stern for ruining the league's remaining integrity. Pathetic.
