Sample Set #147: Kiss tha Game Goodbye

This coming Friday marks the eight year anniversary since Jadakiss released his debut album Kiss tha Game Goodbye – also the first solo album by any Lox member. The album spawned three critically acclaimed singles (“Knock Yourself Out”, “We Gonna Make It” and “Put Ya Hands Up”) as well as a solid diss record aimed at Roc-a-Fella Records emcee Beanie Sigel. Production on the album was carried out by staple beatsmiths of the time, including Swizz Beatz, The Neptunes, Timbaland, Just Blaze and DJ Premier. Producers Alchemist and Mahogany also laid down some knocking beats. The gritty textures of the album are well-documented by this sample set which features a diverse mix of just about every style under the sun, from rock to soul to jazz to hip hop to – rarities in our sets – Latin and even new age! Enjoy… and turn it up!!
