James Yancey a.k.a. J Dilla was one of the best to do it. You often see it on t-shirts or hear people say "J Dilla Changed My Life". To many, it's not just a catch phrase. His impact on hip hop is huge as evidenced by Metal Lungies' recent Beat Drop (which I was proud to be a part of). This right here is the sample set for The Shining, Dilla's first official posthumous release. I've always wanted to put these originals together ever since I dropped that Sample & Example post last year (July '07). And, well... here it is! Enjoy!
