Myspace Mondays with... City Haze

City Haze

Believe it or not, Myspace Mondays has yet to introduce an emcee outta New York City. Enter City Haze: Repping two of Hip-Hop's most historic boroughs, Terrell Wilson a.k.a. City Haze is a young cat with ambition and hustle. The Brooklyn/South Bronx emcee's moniker fuses a childhood nickname (Haze) with his esteem for the City he claims, New York. With an admiration for the old school touch (listing Donny Hathaway and Bill Withers, among others, as key influences) and standing at 6'3", you might be surprised to find out that City Haze hasn't even reached the drinking age yet. Nope. At only 19 years old, City Haze is earning high marks from websites and magazines left to right. All signs lead to one conclusion: the up and coming City Haze is poised to make a splash in the game.

Brooklyn's notorious swag runs strong in City Haze, already being recognized as a rising rap mogul to keep your eyes open for. Tough as BK may be, City Haze's love for the Brook' can be heard on his emotive and deep 'Brooklyn Streets'. Young Kurious at Planet Urban characterized the track as an example of "what the game's been missing", a trip through "music-induced imagery." I couldn't have said it better myself.

More info on City Haze can be found all over the web. He's conducted a flurry of interviews as of late, as he strives to get his name out there and compete with the scores of fellow NY emcees who want that #1 spot. It just might be Haze's ambition and tenacity that finds him bubbling on his way to the top...
